Sh. Naveen Gupta
Sh. Naveen Gupta did Masters in Law (LL.M.) from Delhi University in year 2002. He was awarded Law Union Prize for being the best candidate in LL.M. and Gold Medal for being the best candidate in the paper on ‘Comparative Jurisprudence’. He was offered Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the University Grant Commission (UGC).
He worked as a full time ad-hoc Lecturer in University of Delhi. He served Punjab National Bank as Law Officer. Thereafter, he joined Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University as Lecturer in year 2004. Then, he joined Delhi Judicial Service in March, 2007.
As Judicial Officer, after having been imparted induction training, he was assigned the Court dealing with cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Thereafter, he held the Court of Civil Jurisdiction for a period of 4 months. From March, 2009 to January, 2014, he was posted as Metropolitan Magistrate at Rohini Courts, Karkardooma Courts and Tis Hazari Courts. During this period, besides trying criminal cases, he held the designated Court dealing with cases under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and MCD cases. Thereafter, he was transferred as Additional Senior Civil Judge at Rohini Courts. At this post, he presided over the designated Court trying MCD Cases too. From October, 2015 to November, 2016, he was posted as Secretary, West District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). From 1st December, 2016, he has been posted as Additional Secretary/ Project Officer, Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) till date.
