DLSA East in association with Jail Authorities organised an Awareness Programme on d topic “Important provisions under Constitution of India” on 25.11.2017 for d inmates of Mandoli Jail No.11, 12 in compliance of the directions of DSLSA to celebrate Constitutional Day by deputing Sh Raman Chhatwal, Legal Aid Counsel as Resource Person. The programme was attended by a good number of jail inmates and Jail Authorities.

DLSA (East) organised an Awareness-cum-Sensitization Programme in Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi on 23.11.2017 on the topic “POCSO, Juvenile Justice & Legal Services being provided by DLSAs”. Sh. Pawan Kumar, Secretary (DLSA)/East himself attended the programme as Resource Person and addressed the students on the topics. He also had interactive session with the students and responded to their queries satisfactorily. The programme was appreciated by all concerned.

In compliance of directions of DSLSA, with a view to create Awareness amongst officials of Government Departments, DLSA (East) in association with the office of Chief District Medical Officer (East), held an Awareness-cum-Sensitization Programme on the topic “Provisions relating to Sexual Harassment at Workplace” on 21.11.2017 at the office of CDMO (East), DGD Building, A-Block, Surajmal Vihar, Delhi-110092 by deputing Ms. Shilpa Dalmia, Advocate/LAC (Shahdara), 9868913038 as “Resource Person”. She delivered lecture and had interactive session with the participants. Programme was appreciated by all concerned.

Under the aegis of NALSA’s camping “CONNECTING TO SERVE” DLSA East has launched the Anganwadi Project “DEHLEEJ” by deputing PLVs to conduct Door to Door Campaign at Kalyan Puri, Delhi from 13.11.2017 to 25.11.2017 to have interaction with people at down-trodden areas, aware them about the Legal Aid Services provided by DLSA and distribute pamphlets of legal aid schemes during the said period.

DLSA (East) organised a Court Visit of students of Mayur Public School, IP Extn, Delhi on 20.11.2017 at 10:30 am onwards. Various Courts were shown to the students and they also had interaction with the Ld. Sitting Judges of the Courts. At last, the students were gathered at Conference Room of Karkardooma Courts, where the Secretary of DLSA (East) addressed them and also had interactive session with them. The students were very enthusiastic in making queries which were satisfactorily responded to by the Secretary. The visit was appreciated by all concerned.

DLSA East, North-East & Shahdara in association with DSLSA organised Two Days Induction Training Programme for newly empanelled LACs on 17.11.2017 & 18.11.2017 at Conference Room, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of various high dignitaries including Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA, Ld. Special Secretary, DSLSA, Ld. District & Sessions Judges of Karkardooma Courts, Ld. Addl Secretary, DSLSA and other Ld. Judges of Delhi.
