Online applications are invited from the Fresh Law Graduates (passed out in the year 2015) who fulfill the following essential academic Qualifications and other eligibility conditions, as on 01.01.2016, for preparation of a panel of suitable candidates for engagement as Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant, three (03) in the Central Office, Delhi State Legal Services Authority and five (05) in District Legal Services Authorities purely on contractual basis on a fixed consolidated stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month initially for a period of three months commencing from 01.04.2016. The number of vacancies is likely to increase. However, the contract can be terminated at any point of time without any notice.
Essential Qualifications
(i) Candidate must have secured atleast 60% marks in LLB. Depending upon the number of applications received, the cut off percentage of marks can be further enhanced, at the discretion of DSLSA.
(ii) Candidate must not be above 27 years of age as on the last date of receipt of applications.
(iii) The candidate must be a fresh law graduate having a Bachelor Degree in Law (including Integrated Degree Course in Law) from any National Law School/College/University/ Institution established by law in India and recognized by the Bar Council of India for enrolment as Advocate.
(iv) Candidate studying in the final year shall also be eligible to apply subject to furnishing proof of acquiring Law qualification at the time of interview/before taking up the assignment as Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant.
(v) The candidate must have knowledge of computer including retrieval of desired Information from various search engines/processes such as Manupatra, SSC Online, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw etc.
Method of Selection
Selection shall be made on the basis of Interview.
General Information
It is made clear that the engagement as Law Clerk-cum-Researcher is a full time job, though purely contractual in nature. The Law Clerk-cum-Researcher shall not be able to join any other profession/service/engagement etc. during the continuance of his employment with DSLSA. It shall not confer any right on selected candidates to claim regular appointment/continuance in service in the Delhi State Legal Services Authority. This Authority reserves with it the right to discontinue the services of any Law Researcher at any point of time without assigning any reasons.
The Law Researcher shall initially be employed for a period of three months, likely to be continued thereafter on the basis of work assessment of the Law Researcher by this Authority. Law Researchers will be permitted a total number of twelve days paid leave in a year, subject to a maximum of three days leave in a month. In the event of number of leaves exceeding the per year or per month permissible limit, pro rata deduction will be made from the monthly remuneration of the concerned Law Researcher.
The candidates should bear in mind while applying for the post that he/she/ may be required to work even beyond the Office hours for which no over time shall be payable. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates called for interview.[/fusion_text]
