{"id":15478,"date":"2026-06-15T11:09:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dslsa.org\/sed\/?p=15478"},"modified":"2026-06-15T11:09:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:09:20","slug":"protection-of-children-from-sexual-offences-pocso-act-2012-19-05-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/dslsa.org\/sed\/protection-of-children-from-sexual-offences-pocso-act-2012-19-05-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 (19.05.2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DLSA South-East, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), organised an awareness session under the JAGRITI \u2013 Justice Awareness for Grassroots Information and Transparency Initiative Scheme, 2025, on the topic \u201cProtection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012\u201d on 19.05.2026 at New Horizon School, North of Humayun\u2019s Tomb, Mathura Road, New Delhi \u2013 110013. Adv. Meenu Sharma, LSA, acted as the Resource Person for the aforesaid session and sensitised the teachers regarding the provisions and objectives of the POCSO Act, child safety, identification and reporting of offences against children, and the legal protection available to minors. The participants were also made aware about the availability of free legal aid, DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24&#215;7), NALSA Helpline No. 15100, and the role and functioning of legal services institutions.
