Mr. Rajeev Bansal joined Delhi Higher Judicial Services in the year 2010 directly from the Bar. Before joining, he practiced as an Advocate in different courts in Delhi including Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), National Commission, District Courts and other courts since 1994. He was Senior Panel Counsel for Union of India in CAT, Senior Panel Counsel for UPSC, Panel Counsel for MCD, Panel Counsel for Northern Railway, Panel Counsel for DDA, Senior Panel Counsel for BSNL and other organizations in CAT, New Delhi.
He earned an LL.B. degree from Law Centre-I, University of Delhi and also holds an LL.M. degree. He attained Post Graduation Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan and Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and International Trade Laws from Amity Law School, New Delhi.
Before joining as Member Secretary (DSLSA), he held positions of Additional District Judge (Matrimonial Cases), Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ), Presiding Officer-Industrial Tribunal, Presiding Officer-Labour Court, Presiding Officer-MACT, District Judge (Commercial Court), District Judge, Commercial (Digital Court) and Special Judge (PC Act) CBI.
He has done Mediation Training under the aegis of MCPC of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and also served as Judge Incharge, Mediation Center, Patiala House for a period of above three years.
He has joined as Member Secretary, Delhi State Legal Services Authority on 04.10.2024.
