A Legal Services Advocate from DLSA South-East acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants on the legal provisions relating to dowry-related offences and cruelty, in light of the recent Supreme Court judgment in <em>State of U.P. vs. Ajmal Beg<\/em>. The objective of the programme was to create awareness about the importance of equality in marriage, the legal consequences of dowry practices, and the available legal remedies and helplines including DLSA Helpline 1516 and 15100 NALSA Helpline.
