{"id":15529,"date":"2026-07-08T10:07:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T10:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dslsa.org\/sed\/?p=15529"},"modified":"2026-07-08T10:07:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T10:07:15","slug":"awareness-session-on-elder-abuse-prevention-and-senior-citizens-rights-15-06-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dslsa.org\/sed\/awareness-session-on-elder-abuse-prevention-and-senior-citizens-rights-15-06-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Awareness Session on Elder Abuse Prevention and Senior Citizens&#8217; Rights (15.06.2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DLSA South-East, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), in association with Sheows Care Center (Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram), organised an awareness session on the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on 15.06.2026 at F\/A-19, Thokar No. 4, Abul Fazal Enclave, Near CEAT Tyre Shop, Okhla Vihar, New Delhi.<\/strong> The programme was conducted on the topic <strong>\u201cPrevention of Elder Abuse and Protection of Rights of Senior Citizens.\u201d<\/strong> Sanjay Dutt, LSA, acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants about the rights of senior citizens, legal safeguards available against elder abuse, welfare measures for the elderly, and mechanisms for seeking legal assistance and protection. The Resource Person also informed the participants about DSLSA Helpline No. 1516, NALSA Helpline No. 15100, and the role and functioning of legal services institutions.
