{"id":6236,"date":"2026-05-23T09:08:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T09:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dslsa.org\/shd\/?p=6236"},"modified":"2026-05-23T09:08:29","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T09:08:29","slug":"awareness-session-protection-of-children-form-sexual-officences-pocso-act-2012-and-reporting-mechanisms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dslsa.org\/shd\/?p=6236","title":{"rendered":"Awareness Session- Protection of Children form Sexual Officences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and Reporting Mechanisms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the Awareness Campaign \u201cSurakshit Bachpan, Surakshit Bhavishya\u201d and the JAGRITI Scheme, 2025- POCSO Act Sensitization, Shahdara District Legal Services Authority organized an awareness session on the topic \u201cProtection of Children from Sexual Offices (POCSO) Act, 2012 and Reporting Mechanisms\u201d on 22.05.2026 for the students and faculty members of GBSSS, GT Road shahdra.<\/p>\n<p>During the Session, <strong>Sh. Virendra Kasana<\/strong>, LAC and Resource Person, explained the provisions and objectives of the POCSO Act in a simple and interactive manner. She explained on the distinction between sexual harassment and sexual assault and sensitized the participants about the legal safeguards available to children under the Act.
