{"id":70,"date":"2015-08-03T07:48:02","date_gmt":"2015-08-03T06:48:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/edslsa.org\/swd\/?page_id=70"},"modified":"2020-02-07T05:30:13","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T05:30:13","slug":"providing-legal-aid-to-beneficiaries","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dslsa.org\/swd\/?page_id=70","title":{"rendered":"PROVIDING LEGAL AID TO BENEFICIARIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>As per Section 12 of \u201cThe Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987\u201d read with Regulation 9 of \u201cThe Delhi Legal Services Authority Regulation, 2002, this Authority provides free Legal Aid to following persons:-<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> A member of a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong> A victim of trafficking in human beings or beggar as referred to in article 23 of the Constitution;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong> A Woman or a child;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong> A person with disability as defined in clause (i) of section 2 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong> A person under circumstances of undeserved want such as being a victim of a mass disaster, ethnic violence, caste atrocity, flood, drought, earthquake or industrial disaster; or<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong> An industrial workman; or<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h4><strong> In custody, including custody in a protective home within the meaning of clause (g) of section 2 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, or in a juvenile home within the meaning of clause (j) of section 2 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 1986, or in psychiatric hospital or psychiatric nursing home within the meaning of clause (g) of section 2 of the Mental Health Act, 1987;
