Admission of a HIV patient to the Hostel:
On 07.03.2019 a women aged about 21 years came into contact with CDLSA through one of the awareness program run by CDLSA. The victim informed that she was married at the age of 14 years and that she wanted to admit her 5 years old daughter, who was a HIV patient, in a hostel. She further informed that after the death of her husband, her in-laws had expelled her along with her daughter from her matrimonial house but the shocking fact was that they had taken her son with them. She collected enough courage to reveal a heinous fact that she had been repeatedly raped by her step-father and this was the reason as to why she was married at a very young age. The women was brought to CDLSA to meet and interact with the Ld. Secretary, CDLSA Sh. Sandeep Gupta after which the Secretary immediately gave directions for appropriate steps to be taken for rehabilitation of her daughter. After prompt and foremost effort by CDLSA, the daughter of the women was admitted in Kilkari Home for Girls where she can live up to 18 years of age. The help by the CDLSA through its Ld. Secretary helped the minor girl live her life in peace.
It was correctly said by Stacia Tauscher, Dancer & Artist that “We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today”.
So now she will be raised in a safe atmosphere and will have a safe childhood along with a bright future away from the heinous atrocities among which she was born.
