. Rescue of a POCSO victim

Central District Legal Services Authority is a body constituted under Delhi State Legal Service Authority for providing free legal aid services to persons who suffer from financial stringencies. Its primary function is to provide free and competent legal aid in the nature of legal counseling and legal advice as well as free legal services. Another function of District Legal Services Authority is to spread legal awareness among public, particularly focusing on the beneficiaries of social legislations and general public at large on various issues of socio-legal importance.

The kindness and innocence of a child is evident from the above said words. In one of the program organized by Central DLSA at Shelter Home, Kabir Basti, Malka Ganj, Delhi, a Legal Aid Counsel was deputed to perform her duties. There she got an opportunity to interact with a minor girl where she was robbed of her innocence, optimism and sense of wonder. The girl told the legal aid counsel that on 29.12.2015, when she was 15 years old, she was kidnapped and raped from where she was later on trafficked to another person named Praveen s/o Kuldeep and Sheela. Later she was forcefully married to Praveen. In her matrimonial home, she was raped, humiliated and tortured. She suffered physical and mental atrocities from her husband and brother-in-law. Later on, she gave birth to a male child.

On 27/04/19 she got the chance to escape and save herself from all the mental and physical tortures after which she came to the shelter home at Kabir Basti, Malka Ganj to save herself.
