Ma’am,
Here I am citing two case examples of the client  intervened and their success stories.

Case no -1 (Mr.Saurav)
• Introduction:
This is the case of Mr. Saurav ,aged 34,by profession an engineer. This case example shows how psychological treatments are effective in addiction -related cases. Also, this case gives a general idea of the root cause of the problem which usually lies somewhere in family only and the solution too can be backed by family members .
Case description:
Saurav came to me by the ref.of Dlsa and i could figure out that he has been badly addicted to Alcohol and cigarettes. He had very bad relationship with his parents and friends. He was known for misbehaving anyone and everyone. He used to violate all the rules and regulations. He had bad companionship as well. His life was in a complete mess.He was suffering from depression too.
• Case formulation and treatment:
After the case history of the client,it was the time to involve his family members in finding root cause of the problem and exploring the possible solutions.I contacted his parents and tried to figure out the real problem behind his addiction and behavioural disorders. It was found that his parents were over ambitious about saurav. At some point of time, his parents were more attached with saurav’s elder brother saurav always felt ignored and gradually he became rebellious and reactive. And when his elder brother settled abroad. Without his parents consent they started giving importance to saurav and started looking their future in this son.The only hope. But by this time, saurav had developed so many bad habits and started ignoring his parents.Even he started punishing himself and his parents too.
Besides family counselling,I applied IPT(interpersonal counselling therapy). Also, shared some tips for his dietary management.Relaxation technique also applied.During counselling saurav and his parents came to know about the key points ,where they were making mistakes and committed to take care of their own behavior and rectify.
• Follow up: once in a month
• Treatment outcome:
Counselling and mental cleansing worked well. And now his life and career is back on track.
Thanks.
