Day 10 of Virtual Add-on Course, 2023 on Legal Literacy by Central District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. Beneficiaries: 52 20th March,2023 marked Day 10 of the Virtual Add-on Course, 2023, an initiative by Central DLSA with the assistance from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. The virtual add-on course aims towards spreading and promoting ‘Legal Literacy’. The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Harshita Mishra, Ld Secretary(Litigation), Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Rouse Avenue Courts, Delhi who delivered the session on the topic of “Laws relating to Children viz. POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, Laws relating to Missing Children”. She explained the above said topics in depth. The session was extremely enriching and ended with a Q&A session wherein the Ld. Secretary, addressed the queries of the students.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority erstwhile Delhi Legal Aid & Advice Board has been constituted by an Act of Parliament passed under “The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987” as amended by Legal Services Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2002, to provide free and competent legal service to the weaker sections of the society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity.
