National Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12th January on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The main purpose of celebrating National Youth Day is to promote the ideals and ideologies of Swami Vivekananda
The day aims to create awareness as well as promote the Hindi language across the world. The Day emphasises on developing a passion for the language as well as valuing the contributions of Hindi speakers.
