The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in case titled “Mohammed Ajmal @ Mohammad Amir Kasab @ Abu Mujahid Vs. State of Maharastra, AIR 2012 SC 3565 has passed various detailed directions including a direction to ensure that each arrested person has the right to access to legal aid, to consult and to be defended by a legal practitioner in connection with a cognizable offence right directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and in compliance of the circular No. DLSA/MSO/13/242-250 dated 15th January,2013.
