DLSA South-East, under the aegis of the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), under the JAGRITI – Justice Awareness for Grassroots Information and Transparency Initiative Scheme, 2025, on the occasion of International Right to Know Day / International Day for Universal Access to Information, 2026, organised an awareness session on the topic “Right to Know, Right to Justice: Empowering Citizens through Access to Information” on 29.09.2026 from 01:00 PM onwards at YWCA, A2-1231-32, J.J. Colony, Madanpur Khadar, New Delhi-110076. Adv. Divya Narain, LAC, acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants about the importance of the right to know and access to information as a means of legal empowerment and effective access to justice. The participants were apprised of their rights, available legal remedies and the role of legal services institutions in facilitating access to justice. They were also made aware about the DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24×7), NALSA Helpline No. 15100, and the salient working of DLSA. The programme aimed at empowering the students and staff with awareness regarding access to information, legal rights and available legal services, thereby enabling them to make informed decisions and effectively access justice. The programme witnessed the participation of approximately 30 beneficiaries.
