DLSA South-East, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), facilitated an educational institutional visit for 76 students, along with faculty members and Ms. Smita Vats, Founder-Director, NGO ITIHAAS, pursuant to the proposal received from NGO ITIHAAS, on 30.09.2026 to various branches and sections of the Saket Courts Complex. During the aforesaid visit, the students visited the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal Court, Civil Court, Judicial Magistrate First Class Court, Vulnerable Witness Deposition Centre, Mediation Centre, Front Office, and the office of South-East District Delhi Legal Services Authority, Saket Courts, New Delhi. Ms. Priyanka Raina, LSA, was assigned to perform the aforesaid duty and facilitated and supervised the visit throughout. The students were duly briefed regarding the requisite code of conduct and were provided practical exposure to the functioning of the judicial system and various allied legal services and institutions. The visit was aimed at enhancing the students’ understanding of court proceedings, judicial functioning, mediation mechanisms, legal aid services, and the role of legal services institutions in facilitating access to justice. The institutional exposure further enabled the students to gain an insight into the functioning of different courts and legal services mechanisms and promoted legal awareness among young learners.
