South-East & South District Legal Services Authorities, under the aegis of NALSA and DSLSA, jointly organised a sensitization-cum-training programme on 13.04.2026 at 04:00 PM onwards through virtual mode via Cisco Webex for all Legal Aid Defence Counsels (LADCs) and Legal Services Advocates (LSAs) of South-East and South Districts. The session was conducted on the effective usage and implementation of the provisions of Plea Bargaining contained in Chapter XXIII of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. Sh. Sanjeev Jain, Ld. DHJS (Retd.), acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants about the practical aspects, legal framework, and procedural application of plea bargaining. The programme aimed to enhance the understanding and capacity of LADCs and LSAs in effectively utilising the provisions of BNSS in the administration of criminal justice. The session witnessed the active participation of 71 LADCs/LSAs from both DLSAs.
