A victim of ATM fraud approached the office of DLSA South-West in the Month of August, 2019. An amount of Rs. 1,20,000/- was unauthorisedly withdrawn from the account of the victim Sh. Kanak Prasad in the end of July, 2019 by way of ATM fraud. DLSA South-West provided legal assistance to the victim for lodging FIR with the police and also filing a complaint with the Bank concerned. Thereafter, upon non-satisfactory disposal of the complaint by the Bank, DLSA South-West further assisted the victim to approach the Banking Ombudsman appointed by the Reserve Bank of India, after which, the entire amount of Rs. 1,20,000/- was refunded by the Bank to the victim in the month of January, 2020.
