National Constitution on “Repatriation and Rehabilitation of Missing and Trafficked Children” was organized by National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in collaboration with Delhi State Legal Services Authority and Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA). The National Consultation was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice T. S. Thakur, Chief Justice of India & Patron-in-Chief, National Legal Services Authority, Sh. Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Laureate and founder of BBA in the august presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anil R Dave, Judge Supreme Court of India & executive chairman-NALSA, Hon’ble Ms. Justice G. Rohini, Chief Justice, Delhi High Court, Patron in Chief-DSLSA and Hon’ble Ms. Justice Indira Banerjee, Judge, Delhi High Court, Executive Chairperson-DSLSA which was attended by Member Secretaries of twelve states along with representatives of NGOs, Police Authorities, CWCs and JJBs.

Technical session was inaugurated next day at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. Technical Sessions were organized on the topics of Prevention and Protection Strategies for Trafficked and Missing Children, Challenges in Repatriation and Rehabilitation of Missing and Trafficked Children, Solutions for Inter-state and Inter-agency Coordination and Collaboration and Open Session: Core Points for Standard Operating Procedure to be developed on Rehabilitation of Trafficking and Missing Children. Ms. Leena Nair, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Sh. Suresh Chandra, Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, Sh. R. S. Chaurasia, Chairperson, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Smt. Stuti Kacker, Chairperson, National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, Dr. Rajiv Sharma, DCP, Staff Officer to Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Sh. Alok Agarwal, Member Secretary, National Legal Services Authority, Sh. Dharmesh Sharma, Member Secretary, Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Sh. Bhuwan Ribhu, Bachpan Bachao Andolan were the panellist. In Valedictory Session, Hon’ble Mr. Justice, Madan Lokur, Judge, Supreme Court of India, Justice Ravindra Bhatt, Judge, High Court of Delhi,  Hon’ble Ms. Justice Indira Banerjee, Judge, Delhi High Court, Executive Chairperson-DSLSA, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Sangeeta Dhingra Sehgal, Delhi High Court, Sh. Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel laureate and founder of BBA addressed the gathering. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Dharmesh Sharma, Member Secretary, DSLSA. Vote of Thanks was given by Sh. Sanjeev jain, Special Secretary, DSLSA in Valedictory Session.

In Technical Session various issues on “Repatriation and Rehabilitation of Missing and Trafficked Children” were discussed in open house session and presentation were given by different states. It was proposed that SOP will be drawn by NALSA, DSLSA and BBA for effective working of Juvenile Institution for “Repatriation and rehabilitation of missing and trafficked children”
