DLSA South-East, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), organised a legal awareness session under the Child Friendly Legal Services for Children Scheme, 2024 and the Legal Services to Persons with Mental Illness and Persons with Intellectual Disabilities Scheme, 2024, in association with Plan International (India Chapter), on the topic “Legal Rights and Welfare Measures for Children and Persons with Disabilities: Role of DLSA” at C-560, D Wing, 1st Floor, Madanpur Khadar Extension, Near Jamia Cooperative Bank, Nirman Chowk, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi-110076 (Zakat House Building) on 16.06.2026. Adv. Anil Mishra, LAC, acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants about the legal rights, entitlements, and welfare measures available for children and persons with disabilities, as well as the role of DLSA in ensuring access to justice for vulnerable sections of society. The participants were also informed about the availability of free legal aid services, DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24×7), NALSA Helpline No. 15100, and the role and functioning of legal services institutions. Further, awareness was created regarding various government welfare schemes and legal assistance mechanisms available through DLSA. The programme witnessed the participation of approximately 50 beneficiaries.
