DLSA South-East, under the aegis of NALSA and DSLSA, organised an awareness session on the occasion of Muslim Women Rights Day on the topic “Legal Protection and Access to Justice for Muslim Women: Rights, Remedies, and Legal Aid” on 04.08.2026 at E-143, Lovely Chowk, Hari Nagar Jaitpur, Badarpur, New Delhi, in association with EFRAH NGO, for the general public and women. Adv. Jyoti Babbar, Legal Services Advocate (LSA), DLSA South-East, acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants about the legal rights and remedies available to Muslim women, access to legal aid, and the role of DLSA in providing free legal services. The participants were also made aware of DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24×7) and NALSA Helpline No. 15100 for seeking legal assistance. The objective of the programme was to promote legal awareness and empower Muslim women by informing them about their rights, available legal remedies, and access to free legal aid. The programme witnessed the participation of approximately 25 beneficiaries.
