On 28th June 2025, the South-East District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) conducted an awareness session on the topic of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Veer Savarkar Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Kalkaji, New Delhi. The session was specially organized for the principals of Delhi government schools, with the aim of sensitizing them about the key provisions of the POCSO Act, their responsibilities in ensuring a safe school environment, and the legal procedures to follow in cases of child abuse. A total of 100 participants attended the program, engaging in discussions on preventive measures, reporting mechanisms, and the importance of creating child-friendly and secure educational spaces. The session underscored the crucial role school leadership plays in safeguarding children’s rights and well-being.
