Success Story-during lockdown by Dlsa NW
We at DLSA(NW) received a unique case for help on 14.05.2020. A corona positive patient was found in a family residing in Sawan Park, Ashok Vihar. The family consisted of around 17 other members who were also desirous of being tested to rule out the possibility of them being infected too, however, their requests were turned down by administration maybe due to some SOP. Tests of five members were got done at a private lab but they were unable to afford the high costs thereof for remaining family members. Their request was to get the remaining family members also tested from a Govt. facility.
On receiving the request, we forwarded the same to the office of District Magistrate (North-West). We also sent an email to them and our dealing hand continued to follow up with staff there. Due to our continued efforts, remaining family members were also tested on 16.05.2020. This way we were able to help a family(which included a staff member of this establishment)in fight against corona.
