SUCCESS STORY OF A CIVIL CASE

Amid the busy lifestyle, modern infrastructure and advanced technology, the moral values have somewhere lost. A senior citizen (applicant) Sh. Thakur Singh, R/o. H.NO. C-16, Baldev Park, Delhi-110051, Mobile No. 9891868022, who is an absolute owner of this property had been thrown out of the same by his own daughter-in-law and major grand daughter who left him virtually homeless. He had to take shelter for basic needs like daily meals etc. from the nearby Gurudwara. The applicant with his old and torn clothes and abject condition came to the office of District Legal Services Authority, Shahdara. The applicant was duly attended and counselled by Front Office Advocate, Ms. Meenu Juneja and she advised him to file a complaint before the Office of concerned District Magistrate Office under The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 for a quicker remedy. She also drafted necessary complaint on behalf of the applicant and directed him to the Legal Services Clinic of this Authority at the Office of District Magistrate, where Advocate on duty assisted him in filing the complaint before Maintenance Tribunal. The Court of Ld. District Magistrate concerned passed a final order of eviction within 60 days of receipt of application, with detailed observations and directed the SHO (Jagat Puri) to evict the respondents and handover the vacant possession of property in question to the applicant. The applicant was extremely grateful to Legal Services Authority for guidance and necessary assistance.
