Success Story of Criminal Court Cases

          Two girls in their teens R/o. JJ Cluster, AnandVihar, came to the office of District Legal Services Authority, Shahdara, they were very distressed and were brought by a PLV of District Shahdara and had conducted a Legal Awareness Camp on the same day. Both of them were brought before Ld. Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, District Shahdara, who consoled them and asked them about their problem. They informed that their mother had been falsely implicated in a case U/S 302 IPC for killing their father and in her absence they have no means of livelihood and subsistence. Ld. Secretary immediately got recorded the submissions made by the girls and order for grant of legal aid to both the children while he appointing LAC Sh. Rajiv Pratap Singh to defend mother of those children before the court of law. He directed LAC concerned to move an application for grant of interim compensation on behalf of daughters of deceased before this Authority. It was reported by LAC concerned that the deceased father of applicant was alcoholic and also a drug addict and he used to torture every member of his family and beat them mercilessly. He was also allegedly sexually assaulting his two daughters and also used to disrobe mother of applicants several times and attempted to have sexually intercourse to her against her will in the presence of her grown up children with the efforts Legal Aid Counsel Rajiv Pratap Singh, mother of applicant children got bail from the court concerned on 20.12.2018. Moreover, an order of interim compensation was also passed in favour of children of deceased by this Authority vide reference no. 21/19/DLSA/SHD/KKD/JC on 13.02.2019. After being released on the bail, the mother of applicants personally came to the office of this Authority and thanked Ld. Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Shahdara for timely intervention and support.
