Dr. Ompal Shokeen

Dr. Ompal Shokeen did his schooling from KIIT World School, Pitampura and completed his
graduation in B.A (Prog) from Satyawati College, University of Delhi. He obtained his Degree
in Law from Law Center-1, Faculty of law and completed his Masters in law i.e. LL.M, also from
Faculty of Law, University of Delhi with first division. He also completed his Ph.D. in Land
AcquisiƟon laws from Amity Law School, Amity University, Jaipur. He has obtained Post-
Graduate Diploma’s in various law subjects like Intellectual Property Rights, Criminal Justice,
Labour Laws etc. from various prestigious Universities.
Prior to joining the Delhi Judicial Services in the year 2019, he obtained extensive experience
in the field of litigation and have practised in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India,
accumulating total experience of 7 year of practice (2012-2019). He was also enrolled as an
Advocate-on-Record with Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He taught different law subjects in
Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi as Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty)
during year 2018-2019. He has served as Metropolitan Magistrate (Negotiable Instruments
Act) and as Civil Judge at Tis Hazari Court Complex, wherein he was also indicted as member
of E-Sewa Kendra Committee and performed his duties as Additional Officer-in-Charge of
Admn-III, Branch.
He has joined his duties as Full Time Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, South-West
District at Dwarka Court Complex with effect from 15th December 2023.
