DLSA (East) in association with DLSA (North-East) & DLSA (Shahdara) for Thirty (30) LACs each from all the three DLSAs organized an Awareness Programme on the topic “Legal & Ethical Aspects of donation & transplantation of Human Organs in India” on 29.01.2019 at 03:00 pm at Conference Hall, 3rd floor, Karkardooma Court, Delhi. Dr. Vishal Chadha M.D.(Homeopathy) Vice President, Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti, as Resource Person for the aforesaid programme by addressing the participants and having interactive session with them.

DLSA (East) in association with Delhi Police & Authorities of Education Department and the concerned Schools of East District, under its Campaign “SASHKT BETI : SASHAKT BHARAT” have finalised to hold classes on “Techniques of Self Defence” for the girl students of Shaheed Rajguru College of Business Studies for Women, Vashundra, Enclave, Delhi in college premises itself from 15.01.2019 by deputing a team of experts of Delhi Police to teach and display the aforesaid techniques to the participants in the college premises itself.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority erstwhile Delhi Legal Aid & Advice Board has been constituted by an Act of Parliament passed under “The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987” as amended by Legal Services Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2002, to provide free and competent legal service to the weaker sections of the society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity.
