Brief synopsis of a case settled in the National Lok Adalat held on 11.02.2017.
This has reference to telephonic cell received, from you today pertaining to captioned matter. A case titled as Kalpana Devi vs. Tara singh bearing cc no. 1127/14 which was filed by petitioner (wife) claiming maintenance from the respondent (husband) on 07.03.2011 was pending in which, after counselling the parties, matter was referred to Lok Adalat for settlement. The petitioner had also filed a case HMA no. 1059/15 U/s 9 of HMA on 07.11.2015 which was also referred for Lok Adalat alongwith cc no. 1127/14.
Ms. Nisha Saxena (Ld. ADJ, East Delhi) sitting as Lok Adalat Judge settled the matter between the parties amicably whereby the parties agreed to take divorce by mutual consent and for quashing of FIR No. 109/2011 PS: Kalyanpuri U/s 498A/406/34 IPC. Parties immediately filed first motion of divorce in which the joint statement has been made and the order has been passed on 21.02.2017. ln this manner the parties have arrived at final settlement in six years old matter and their three cases are finished through Lok Adalat.
