In 2019, Ms. Sangeeta had filed a case against her husband under Domestic Violence Act. Pursuant to request for appointment of Legal Aid counsel, Ms. Alka Joshi, from the MM panel, was appointed by the New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA) in 2024 to represent Ms. Sangeeta. Through diligent efforts and continuous follow-ups by the NDDLSA, the case was presented before the court and she started receiving interim expenses following the court order. In recognition of the invaluable legal assistance provided, Ms. Sangeeta personally visited the NDDLSA office to convey her sincere gratitude and appreciation for the support extended to her.
