In compliance of directions of Delhi State Legal Services Authority and as directed by the Ld. District & Sessions Judge/Chairman (DLSA)/East, to celebrate “National Legal Services Day” , with a view to create awareness amongst masses at down trodden areas of East District, this Authority has Launched a Three days (4 Prog.) “Door to Door Campaign” from 09.11.2018 to 12.11.2018. During the campaign, a team consisting of Sh. Charan Jeet, LAC & Sh. Ajay, PLV & Ms. Neha, PLV visited Chitra Vihar Huts, Opp Gujraat Vihar, Delhi and distributed pamphlets, booklets and had interaction with the general public on 12.11.2018.

District & Sessions Judge/Chairman (DLSA)/East, Karkardooma Court, Delhi on the occasion of “International Day of the Girl Child” with a view to make the girl students safer, confident and protected, DLSA (East) in association with Delhi Police & Authorities of Education Department and the concerned Schools of East District, under its Campaign “SASHKT BETI : SASHAKT BHARAT” have finalised to hold classes on “Techniques of Self Defence” for the girl students of different Government Girls & Co-ed Schools of East District Schools premises from 25.10.18 by deputing a team of experts of Delhi Police to teach and display the aforesaid techniques to the participants in the college premises itself.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority erstwhile Delhi Legal Aid & Advice Board has been constituted by an Act of Parliament passed under “The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987” as amended by Legal Services Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2002, to provide free and competent legal service to the weaker sections of the society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity.
