In compliance of directions of DSLSA, DLSA (East) in association with District Education Authorities organised an Awareness-cum-Sensitization Programme at Govt. Co-Ed Senior Secondary School, Preet Vihar, Delhi for the students of the school on “Sexual Violence Module” on 01.05.2018. Sh. Pawan Kumar, Secretary (DLSA)/East was the Resource Person for the programme who addressed a big number of students through lectures, PPTs, Videos etc and had interaction with them.

DLSA (East), (North-East) & (Shahdara) in coordination with Indian Medical Association, Dy Director of Education and EDMC have finalised to hold a “Sensitization-cum-Training of Teachers Programme” under the campaign “SANGINI” to spread awareness about Menstrual Health and Hygiene on 17.4.2018 at 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at EDMC Auditorium, Udyog Sada, Ist floor, Patparganj Indl Area, Delhi. Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Secretaries of DLSA (East, North-East & Shahdara), Doctors from Indian Medical Association (East Delhi Branch), Officers from EDMC, Officers of Directorate of Education and other high dignitaries also graced the occasion. The programme benefitted more than 300 participants consisting of female Government Teachers, Advocates etc. The programme was covered by the esteemed media and appreciated by all concerned.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority erstwhile Delhi Legal Aid & Advice Board has been constituted by an Act of Parliament passed under “The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987” as amended by Legal Services Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2002, to provide free and competent legal service to the weaker sections of the society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity.
