Inauguration of “Traffic Courts Help Desk” on 07.09.2017 by Sh. Rakesh Tewari, Ld. D & SJ (East), Sh. A. S. Jayachandra Ld. D & SJ (North-East) and Sh. Deepak Jagotra, Ld. D & SJ (Shahdara), the Ld. Chairpersons of all the three DLSAs in the august presence of Sh. Sanjeev Jain, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA & Sh. Naveen Gupta, Ld. Addl. Secretary, DSLSA at Court Room No. 31 Ground Floor, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. The occasion was graced by the presence of Executive Body of Shahdara Bar Association. The prog. was also covered by the esteemed media.

DLSA East celebrated “Teacher’s Day” by organising an Awareness Programme by deputing Mr. Umesh Gupta, LAC DLSA East/KKD as Resource Person on the topic “Meaning & Importance of Teacher’s Day & Education & Legal Services being provided by DLSA related to Children” on 05.09.2017 at GBSSS, Block 27, Trilok Puri, Delhi. The programme was successful and appreciated by all LACs.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority erstwhile Delhi Legal Aid & Advice Board has been constituted by an Act of Parliament passed under “The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987” as amended by Legal Services Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2002, to provide free and competent legal service to the weaker sections of the society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity.
