DLSA East celebrated “International Women’s Day” on 8.3.2017

celebrated “International Women’s Day” on 8.3.2017 at Central Pollution Control Board.

In compliance of the directions of DSLSA, East Dlsa organised visit of Law Students of Delhi University to IHBAS today on 7.3.2017. The programme was attended by around 50 students. Ms. Bhawani Sharma, Secretary DLSA East herself visited IHBAS and ensured that students could explore the Institute.

With a view to observe “International Women’s Day”, DLSA East in association with Sri Geeta Jayanti Samaroh Samiti NGO, Indian Oil Corp & ONGC organised an Awareness-cum-Honour Programme for a big crowd of around 250 persons at LTG Auditorium, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi on 7.3.2017

In compliance of the directions of DSLSA, DLSA East in association with Delhi Police organised an Awareness Programme at Community Level on “Muslim Laws and Maintenance Provisions of Women therein” on 17.2.2017 at Police Chowki : Seelampur, Krishna Nagar, Delhi. Sh. Umesh Gupta, LAC of DLSA East was the Resource Person for the said programme who addressed the participants on the topic and had interactive session with them. The Programme was attended by large number of people. Participants were very enthusiastic to make various queries which were satisfactorily responded by the Resource Person. The Programme was also attended by Police Officers of PS : Krishna Nagar. Programme was appreciated by all concerned.

East DLSA organized a visit of students from GGSSS, New Kondli, Delhi to observe proceedings of Karkardooma Courts on 15.02.2017. This was a nice Educational Trip for them. They watched proceedings of Courts of Metropolitan Magistrates, Sessions Judges, Additional District Judge, Additional Sessions Judge, Mediation, Front Office of DLSA East. This was a reality check for the students as they had perceived a different concept of Courts as shown in pictures which could be changed through this visit only. The students remarked that an inquisitiveness to know about working of justice system in our country had developed by this visit

DLSA East in association with “Samrasta Foundation” organised an Awareness Programme on the topic “Laws related to Child Labour, Street Children, Durg & Substance Abuse, and POCSO Act” at community level on 14.02.2017. Ms. Vidya Sevda, LAC DLSA East was the Resource Person for the Programme who addressed the participants on the topics and had interactive session with them. Programme was appreciated by all concerned.
