DLSA East in association with CWC & Children Home for Girls observed “International Day for Girl Child” on 24.1.2016 by conducting Awareness Programme on various Legal Topics in which Ms. Bhawani Sharma Secretary DLSA East herself was the Resource Person. She delivered lectures and had interactive session with the girls residing in Home of CWC. Various cultural activities were performed by the girls during the Programme. Apart from the Secretary DLSA East, Ld. Chairman, CWC, Superintendent, Children Home for Girls, were also present in the Programme. The Programme was appreciated by all concerned.

East DLSA organized a visit of students (Boys) from SBV No.2, Mandawali, Delhi to observe proceedings of Karkardooma Courts on 24.01.2017. This was a nice Educational Trip for them. They watched proceedings of Courts of Metropolitan Magistrates, Sessions Judges, Additional District Judge, Additional Sessions Judge, Mediation, Front Office of DLSA East. This was a reality check for the students as they had perceived a different concept of Courts as shown in pictures which could be changed through this visit only. The students remarked that an inquisitiveness to know about working of justice system in our country had developed by this visit.

East DLSA organized a visit of students from St. Joseph Academy, Shahdara, Delhi to observe proceedings of Karkardooma Courts on 21.01.2017. This was a nice Educational Trip for them. They watched proceedings of Courts of Metropolitan Magistrates, Sessions Judges, Additional District Judge, Additional Sessions Judge, Mediation, Front Office of DLSA East. DLSA East organised a Legal Awareness Programme in association with “Mahila Pragati Manch” on 21.01.2017 for women on the topic “Eve Teasing & Women Rights/ under various laws beneficial for Sr. Citizen”. Sh. Praveen Thukral, LAC DLSA – East was the Resource Person for the said programme. It was a successful event.

East Dlsa in association with “Amba Foundation NGO” by organizing Special Awareness Programme at Community level on the topic “Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment & Eve Teasing” conducted on 20.01.2017. Sh. Shashi Kant, LAC of DLSA East was the Resource Person for the said programme who addressed the participants on the topic and had interactive session also. The programme was appreciated by all.

DLSA East in association with “Sewa Shakti Kendra” organized a Special Awareness Programme at Community Level on the topic “Child Rights & Traffic Discipline” at C-6/133 Shri Ram colony, Rajiv Nagar on 20.01.17. Ms. Vidya Sevda, LAC DLSA East addressed participants on the topic. The Programme was appreciated by all participants. It was a successful programme.

In compliance of the directions of DSLSA, DLSA East has deputed its LACs to visit assigned “Shelter Homes” w.e.f. 18.1.2017 to 15.2.2017. In this series, first visit was conducted by Ms. Vidya Sevda, LAC of DLSA East on 18.1.2017 at “Jan Pahal Aksarhadham” Shelter Home Delhi. She had interaction with available residents of the shelter home between 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Photographs of the visit are forwarded herewith.

Secretary DLSA East in compliance of the directions of DSLA, convened a meeting regarding “Monthly National Lok Adalat dt. 11.02.2017” with the Ld. CMM, LD. SCJ, LD. ACMM, Ld. ASCJ & Ld. ACJ of East Distt on 18.01.2017 at 4:00 pm in Mini Conference Room, KKD Court. Discussions were held for referral and disposal of maximum relevant cases in the said Lok Adalat.
