East Dlsa has celebrated “Christmas Day” in Mandoli Jail on 16.12.16 at 4:30 pm onwards by organising Awareness-cum-Cultural Programme by and for Jail Inmates lodged therein. Jail Inmates displayed a play on the life on The Jesus which was very informative and thrilling. Secretary (DLSA)/East delivered lecture to Jail Inmates on various provisions related to them and also had interactive session with them in the presence of Jail Supdt and other Jail Authorities. The programme was welcomed and appreciated by all present. Such programmes shall be conducted in future also.

As directed by the Ld. D&SJ/Chairman (DLSA)/East, East Dlsa in coordination with DLSA Shd & N/E and Bank Officials arranged a Mobile Van containing a Mini ATM to facilitate d Ld. Judges, Officers and officials of DLSAs & District Courts to get the permissible amount through ATM Cards on 9.12.2016 at Karkardooma Courts complex. Earlier, Ld. D&SJ/Chairman (DLSA)/ East convened a meeting in this regard with all concerned and thereafter, issued the circular to enable all the aforesaid to get d benefit of the Mini ATM Mobile Van. The move was highly appreciated by all. More such steps shall be undertaken by DLSA East soon in coming days.

The programme was attended by a large number of police officers. Sh. Raghubir Singh, Ld. Special Judge, POCSO Court (East) was the Chief Guest and Chief Resource Person for the Programme and addressed the students on POCSO Act, Laws related to juveniles and various other aspects. Secretary DLSA East was also present as Resource Person and addressed the participants on various related issues. Police Officers made several queries which were satisfactorily responded by both the Resource Persons. Programme was highly appreciated by the participants.
