East Dlsa organised an awareness programme cum meeting with residents of AASHIRWAD OLD AGE HOME 22 kkd institutional area at 11.30am on 01.12.16 so as to know the problems faced by them…taking initiative by chairman DLSA East Sh. Talwant Singh a joint meeting was convened at 03.30 pm wherein worthy DCP EAST and NORTH EAST along with all concerned SHOs etc were called. The meeting ended up with directions being given to police, DM, representative of EDMC and BANK OFFICIALS to address the problems with logical solution.

East Dlsa in association with Sewa Shakti Kendra NGO observed World Aids Day by organising an Awareness Programme on the subject at community level. Sh. Charan Jeet, LAC addressed the participants and had interactive session with them. Programme was appreciated by all. It was a successfull event.

In compliance of directions of DSLSA, DLSA East has constituted Help Desk at UCO Bank, Karkardooma Courts by deputing PLVs to help the general public, as desired. PLVs helped several people by filling their Withdrawl forms, Pay in slips, ATM Card forms, withdrawing money from ATM, informing them about several schemes etc etc. It was a successfull move.

DSLSA alongwith DLSA East organised a Legal Literacy-cum-Awareness Programme at St. John’s School on 29.11.16 at 10:00 am onwards on “Drug & Substance Abuse and various Legal Provisions beneficial for Children”. Sh. Sanjeev Jain, Ld. Special Secretary, DSLSA, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and the Chief Resource Person for the aforesaid programme. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director, SPYM, was d Special Invitee and Resource Person being an expert on the subject. Ms. Bhawani Sharma, Secretary (DLSA)/East, was also present as Resource Person. All the Resource Persons addressed the participants on the topics. The programme was attended by large number of students and teachers and appreciated by all. It was a big success.

East Dlsa Karkardooma Court has organized the Legal Literacy Classes in Govt. Schools on the Topics 1. Traffic Laws & 2. Protection of Environment conducted on 28.11.2016. Sh. A. K. Bali, LAC of DLSA (East) was the Resource Person. Programme was highly appreciated by the school authorities and the participants.

East Dlsa in association with AHLCON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL organised a Legal Awareness Programme on Child Protection and Security in the School. Ms. BHAWANI SHARMA, Secretary (Dlsa/East ) was herself the Resource Person and she addressed the students and their parents on the aforesaid topic on 26.11.16 at School Auditorium, Mayur Vihar, Phase – II, Delhi from 8 am onwards. Programme was highly appreciated by the school authorities and the participants.

East Dlsa in association with Jail Authorities organised a Legal Awareness Programme and Drawing painting competition at TIHAR Jail, JAIL No. 8 & 9, Delhi on 24.11.2016.

East Dlsa in association with North-East , DLSA and Shahdara Dlsa organised a Legal Awareness Programme at MANDOLI Jail, Delhi on 23.11. 2016.
