East Dlsa in association with “Amba Foundation NGO organised an Awareness Programme at Community Level” on the topic “Rights of socially backward classes with special reference to SC/ST/Minorities”. Sh. Rajni Kant, LAC DLSA East was the Resource Person for the programme who delivered lecture and had interactive session with the participants. Programme was appreciated by all.

DLSA East organised a Legal Awareness Programme at Bhola Nath Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi in association with “Samrasta Foundation” on “Provisions beneficial to Senior Citizens and Availability of Health Care Services thereof” and also on FIRST AID with mock-drill on various techniques i.e., CPR, Dressing to injured, bringing an unconscious person to consciousness etc on Sunday on 25.09.2016. Mr. Charan Jeet (LAC), DLSA – East was the Resource Person for the said programme. It was a successful event.

DLSA East in association with Department of Health organised an Awareness Programme for the officials of office of CDMO East in the office of CDMO East on the topic “Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment at Workplace” on 20.9.2016. Secretary DLSA East herself attended the programme and addressed the participants on the topics and also had interactive session with them. Participants were very happy and enthusiastic in gathering knowledge and asking questions from the Secretary. Programme was highly appreciated by all concerned. It was a successful programme.

East DLSA in association with “Amba Foundation NGO” organised an Awareness Programme at Community Level for women & girls on the topic “Importance of Skilled Education”. Sh. Charan Jeet, LAC of DLSA East addressed the participants on the topic and also had interactive session with them. Programme was highly appreciated by all concerned as the LAC answered all their queries satisfactorily. Request has been made by the participants and NGO to conduct such programmes in future also.

DLSA East in association with Jail Authorities and Lakshya NGO organised a Legal Awareness Programme regarding various provisions beneficial for the Jail Inmates on 16.9.16 at 5:00 PM onwards in Jail No. 8 & 9. During the programme several Cultural Activities were also held by the Lakshya NGO and the Inmates. A play/drama was also performed on stage. Ms. Bhawani Sharma, Secretary DLSA East, herself attended the programme and addressed the Inmates on the above topic and informed them about Legal Services being provided by DLSA. Superintendent Jail No.8&9 and Jail Visiting Advocate of DLSA East were also present in the programme. The programme was highly appreciated by the Inmates. They asked various questions which were satisfactorily answered. It was a very successful programme.

DLSA East in association with Samrasta Foundation organised a Legal Awareness Programme at Community Level on Sunday on 18.9.2016 on d topic “Rights of Physically Challenged Persons”. Ms. Vidya Sevda, LAC was the Resource Person for the said programme. Programme was a success.

East Dlsa in association with Samrasta Foundation organized an Awareness Programme for the Students and public at Community Level on Sunday on 04.09.16 on the topic “NDPS Act and Legal Provisions against Drunkenness and Intoxication”. Sh. Saurabh Rastogi, LAC DLSA East addressed the Students and Public. Programme was appreciated by all.

Keeping in view the needs of a particular area, East Dlsa in association with AMBA Foundation NGO organized an Awareness Camp on “Protection of Women from Domestic Violence” at Community Level at Indra Camp, Trilok Puri, Delhi, where a number of women pertaining to base level of the community participated and discussed their problems. Ms Niraml Chawla Bhalla, LAC DLSA East gave them lecture and had interactive session with them. She also addressed to their problems and complaints. She also made them aware about the Legal Services being provided by DLSAs to women. Participants requested to arrange such kinds of programme in future also.

DLSA East in association with CFAR & Mahila Pragati Manch organized a Special Awareness Programme at Community Level on the topic “Child Rights” on 14.09.16. Sh. Uday Vir Singh, LAC DLSA East addressed participants on the topic. The Programme was appreciated by all participants. It was a successful programme.
