DLSA South-East, under the aegis of NALSA and DSLSA, organised an awareness session under the NALSA Schemes LSUC (Child Friendly Legal Services for Children) and LSUM (Legal Services for Persons with Mental Illness & Persons with Intellectual Disabilities) on the topic “Rights, Protection and Legal Aid: Empowering Children with Disabilities Through Legal Awareness” on 24.08.2026 at The Blind Relief Association Delhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Near Hotel Oberoi, New Delhi. Adv. Jyoti Babbar, Legal Services Advocate, DLSA South-East, acted as the Resource Person and sensitised the participants about the rights and legal safeguards available to children with disabilities, legal aid services, protection mechanisms, and the importance of ensuring access to justice and dignity. The participants were also made aware of the available legal remedies and support mechanisms. They were further informed about the DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24×7) and NALSA Helpline No. 15100. The programme witnessed the participation of approximately 50 beneficiaries.
