DLSA South-East, under the aegis of NALSA and DSLSA, organised an awareness session on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, 2026, on the topic “Humanity with Justice: Legal Aid, Victim Compensation and Rehabilitation for Dignified Humanitarian Assistance” on 17.08.2026 from 10:00 AM onwards at RZ/1/38, Gali Number-4, First Floor, Tughlakabad Extension, New Delhi-110019, in association with Jan Sahas NGO. Adv. Nidhi Lakra, LSA, was deputed as the Resource Person for the session and sensitised the participants regarding legal aid, victim compensation and rehabilitation, with a focus on dignified humanitarian assistance. The participants were also made aware of DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24×7), NALSA Helpline No. 15100 and the various legal services provided through DLSA. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Savitri, Co-Coordinator, Jan Sahas NGO, who made the necessary arrangements for the session and facilitated awareness among the general public regarding the subject matter. The session aimed to promote awareness regarding access to justice, legal aid, victim compensation and rehabilitation among the beneficiaries. The programme witnessed the participation of approximately 21 beneficiaries.
