DLSA South-East, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), facilitated an educational visit of 18 NALSA Interns to various judicial, legal aid and governmental institutions from 11.06.2026 to 23.06.2026. During the programme, the interns were provided practical exposure to the functioning of the judicial system and justice delivery mechanisms through visits to the South-East DLSA, Front Office, Remand Courts, Civil and Criminal Courts, Family Courts, Vulnerable Witness Room, Mediation Centre and Lock-up facilities at Saket Courts Complex, New Delhi. The interns also visited the District Magistrate (DM) Office, Police Station, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Sakhi One Stop Centre, Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), Observation Home, Prison Legal Aid Clinic in Jail, Permanent Lok Adalat (PLA), and the office of the Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of various judicial, administrative and welfare institutions. Legal Services Advocates (LSAs), Remand Lawyers and other concerned officials assisted and guided the interns throughout the programme and acquainted them with courtroom procedures, legal aid services, mediation processes, child protection mechanisms, prison legal aid services and alternative dispute resolution systems. The educational visit was organised with the objective of enhancing legal awareness, promoting practical learning and deepening the interns’ understanding of the judicial process, access to justice mechanisms and allied public institutions.
