DLSA South-East, under the aegis of NALSA and DSLSA, organised a One-Day Legal Aid Help Desk on the occasion of Independence Day, 2026, on 16.08.2026 from 10:30 AM onwards at Harijan Basti, Meharchand Market, Lodhi Road, near The Banyan Tree School, New Delhi, in association with Udayan Care. Adv. Aabhaar Jain, LSA, was deputed as the Legal Aid Counsel for the Help Desk and sensitised the general public, particularly women, regarding the availability of free legal aid and legal services through DLSA. The public was also made aware of DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24×7) and NALSA Helpline No. 15100 for seeking legal assistance. The programme was coordinated by Sh. Sohail and Ms. Vinita, who made the necessary arrangements for the establishment and smooth conduct of the Help Desk and facilitated awareness among the beneficiaries regarding their legal rights and remedies. The programme provided counselling to approximately 20 persons.
