DLSA Shahdara comes to rescue of 70 Year Old Man

 

District Legal Service Authority provided legal aid to senior citizen namely, Sh. Mangu Dutt Parashar aged 70 years as he had lost his 33 Kisaan Vikas Patra amounting to Rs. 300000/-. The Post Office was not releasing the same to him and was demanding Govt. Security as a mandatory condition. Sh. Mangu Dutt ran pillar to post and finally approached DLSA Shahdara and legal aid was provided to him by appointing LAC Sh. Ankit Gupta to file appropriate case in the concerned court. Accordingly, civil suit for mandatory injunction was filed in the Court of Ld. Senior Civil Judge, District Shahdara by concerned.

It was due to since efforts made by the counsel provided by DLSA, that, it was found on the service manual that even an individual could also stand surety and there was no such mandatory requirement of a Govt. Servant as surety. Considering the same, Hon’ble Court ordered release of Kisaan Vikas Patras to legal aid beneficiary Sh. Mangu Dutt Parashar. Applicant was very happy on successful completion of his case and also wrote letter of thanks to LAC concerned.
