Substance abuse, also known as drug abuse, is use of a drug in amounts or by methods which are harmful to the individual or others. Drugs most often associated with this term include: alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabis, cocaine, hallucinogens, methaqualone, and opioids. People are getting used to drugs heavily very fast and destroying their own and their family’s lives.

In pursuance of the above, and for the implementation of “DAWN (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation-for a drug free India), Scheme, 2025” Shahdara DLSA organised Awareness Program commemorating International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on the topic “NDPS Act” at Children Home for Boys, Sanskar Ashram Complex Dilshad Garden on 26.06.2025.

Ms. Hemlata, Ld. Legal Services advocate and Member of the DAWN Unit delivered a informative lecture and the lectured was appreciated by all the concerned.
