Shahdara District Legal Services Authority organized an awareness-cum-distribution programme on 14.05.2026 at E-44, New Seemapuri, Delhi under the JAGRITI-Justice Awareness for Grassroots Information and Transparency initiative.

The programme was conducted to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day and the International Day of Action for Women’s Health. During the programme, awareness was imparted to women and adolescent girls regarding the importance of menstrual hygiene, proper use and disposal of sanitary napkins, prevention of menstrual infections, and maintenance of overall reproductive health. The participants were also sensitized about various legal rights and welfare measures available for women.

Further, sanitary napkins were distributed among the women and adolescent girls present at the venue. The beneficiaries actively participated in the session and interacted with the officials regarding issues related to menstrual health and hygiene.
