Shahdara District Legal Services Authority, under the aegis of NALSA and DSLSA, organized a Mega Camp for Labourers on 06.06.2026 at the construction site of a multi-storey building situated a Vishwas Nagar, Delhi, in association with Meru East Avenue.

The camp was organized with the objective of extending welfare benefits and essential services to construction workers and daily wage laborers. Various facilitation and assistance desks were established at the venue, Including:

  • Medical Assistance and Health Kit Distribution
  • Labour Card Facilitation,
  • Ayushman Card Assistance,
  • E-Shram Card Registration,
  • Legal Assistance Desk,
  • Mobile Heat-Relief Van
  • Photograph Capturing Facility

An awareness session on Labour Laws and the NALSA (Legal Services to the Workers in the Unorganized Sector) Scheme, 2015 was conducted at 03:00 PM by Sh. Manjeet Maan, LAC. During the session, the resource person apprised the workers of various labour welfare legislation, social security schemes, and the availability of free legal aid services under the Legal Services Authority Act.

The team of doctors from MAX Hospital, Patparganj, conducted awareness programme on heat-wave preparedness, first aid measures. The participants were sensitized about preventive measures to avoid heat-related illnesses and were informed about the proper method and correct proportion of water required for the preparation of ORS.

Furthermore, an awareness  session on menstrual hygiene for female workers had also been conducted by female doctor present from MAX Hospital, Patparganj, Delhi.

As part of the Heat-Wave Preparedness initiative, Primary Heat-Relief Kits, water bottles, Caps, ORS, Sattu and Gamcha were distributed among the workers to mitigate the adverse effects of extreme heat conditions and to promote awareness regarding preventive measures against heat-related illnesses.

The camp witnessed active participation from construction workers and laboures. The camp concluded successfully with the objective of ensuring access to welfare measures, healthcare assistance, social security benefits, and legal services for workers.
