An Awareness Session under the Children Friendly Legal Services for Children and ASHA Scheme, 2024 was conducted on 07.07.2026 at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi (School ID: 11001196).

The Resource Person sensitized the students about the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, explaining various forms of sexual offences against children, the rights of chid victims, and legal safefuards available under the Act. The students were also informed about the importance of recognizing unsafe situations, maintaning personal safety, and reporting incidents of abuse without fear or hesitation.

The students were also made aware of the Chidren 1098, th importance of timely reporting, and the legal consequences of faling to report offences under the POCSO Act.

During the session, the Resource Person exmpained the provisions of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, emphasizing that child marriage is a punishable offence and a violation of the rights of children.
